Leathers

Our variety of leathers available to the customer offers a high quality standard, therefore some characteristic signs of natural leather such as veins and wrinkles will be found. These imperfections enhance the uniqueness and quality of genuine leather, distinguishing it from poor quality leathers covered with artificial products (polyurethane-plastic).

Only half and full grain genuine leather of the best quality are used; this means that the leather pore is left partially or completely exposed. The leather is then subjected on one side to a buffing process, which smoothes the surface and prepares it for dyeing, without affecting the characteristics mentioned above.

Pelli Thema

In terms of quality, the THEMA category represents the non-plus ultra. It is selected natural leather on which no type of treatment and covering finish is carried out, maintaining the original features of the animal’s coat.

THEMA leather has a greater elasticity that allows more complex processing, and a decidedly superior aesthetic result.

Pelli Delta

Only top quality genuine half grain leather covers are used. The leather is then subjected on one side to a buffing process, which smoothes the surface and prepares it for dyeing, without affecting the characteristics of real leather.
This type of leather has few defects, lending itself to a wider use.

Leather care and maintenance:

INSTRUCTIONS

For a correct cleaning of the leather it is first of all necessary to check the type in possession.

In the case of buffed leathers (DELTA leather), use a cloth moistened with a solution of water and neutral soap, pass the cloth over the surface of the leather with light circular movements avoiding excessive rubbing. Do not use detergents and preparations unless specifically indicated by the tanner. Do not use alcohol, acetone, ammonia, waxes and polishing sprays.

As regards natural leathers treated with aniline or nubuck, being natural leathers and therefore poorly treated, it is advisable to try to sand the damaged part with very fine-grained sandpaper. Use only in cases of extreme necessity a small amount of water without adding other substances that can cause streaks.

ATTENTION

The use of inappropriate products can cause irreparable damage to the finish; damage only appears over time after several cleaning operations.
We therefore recommend that you intervene in the care and maintenance at first only in “hidden” points of the upholstery to check the reaction.
